Notes about credit card payments

Visa, Mastercard, and American Express charge merchants a fee for every transaction they process. On most of our orders we do not charge you this fee. It is a fee we gladly pay for the privilege of accepting their cards.

On custom quotes or if special volume discounts are negotiated, we expect full payment by cash, check, etc...

Our merchant accounts are in Canadian dollars, so we must convert all transactions into Canadian currency. For this we use the current interbank rate as obtained from http://www.oanda.com. So in effect you will probably end up paying some currency exchange fee of up to 2%. In addition, some US banks are charging an additional fee on currency exchange - so carefully check your agreement.

In summary, we generally always pay the Visa or Mastercard "discount", and you may pay a currency exchange fee of 2%.

We require your signature for credit card transactions, so include a signed letter or be ready to fax a signed letter to 866-878-3693 authorizing the charge.
