spec DVD-Audio is a different product that plays on special DVD-Audio
players. DVD-Audio does not play back on a standard DVD-Video player. DVD-Audio

DVD-Audio permits multichannel sound in PCM (uncompressed) format up to 24
bit at 192 kHz sampling rate. Meridian Lossless Packing can be used to increase
the storage capacity. Sample rate: 44.1, 48, 88.2, 96, 176.4, 192 kHz
Sample size: 16, 20, or 24 bit Maximum total bitrate is 9.6 Mbit/second
for PCM audio Channels: 6 for sample rates up to 96 kHz, 2 if the sample
rate is 176.4 or 192 kHz. |
