Nuns' Island
Few communites located but minutes from
a major metropolis can match the rich diversity that
Nuns' Island has to offer. A true self contained island,
residents and workers alike enjoy an abundance of green
space, the largest indoor tennis facility in Canada
and countless other amenities, all while breathing cleaner
air and moving at a less frenetic pace than over the
bridge in Montreal.
|
Directions: Turn right at the first roundabout on Nuns' Island. Drive about 600 meters to 716 Chemin
du Golf. We are the last door of the first industrial row of buildings.
|
Note: Nuns' Island (or Ile des Soeurs in french) is part of the former city of Verdun,
which has now been amalgamated into the city of Montreal. So you can say Nun's
Island, Ile des Soeurs, Verdun, or Montreal. Mail and couriers will get here as
long as you include the postal code. The official name is something like "City
of Montreal, Borough of Verdun, Champlain district" but no-one will ever
say or write out such a long name. People refer to it mostly as Nuns' Island or
Ile des Soeurs. Do not give driving instructions as "Verdun" because
some people may get lost in Verdun which is on the island of Montreal.
Downtown
Montreal is 5 minutes away via the Bonaventure Expressway. Dorval Airport is about
20 minutes via highway 15 and highway 20. |
